Vertigo & Dizziness, Home Treatments

My initial idea that the snoring exercises alone would be enough was quickly busted.

It took me over a year of obsessive, around-the-clock work to test out a set of exercises that helped all 20 volunteers.

But once we had a working program, things moved fast.

I recruited 137 more volunteers to test the final version. Within a week, almost everyone reported positive results.

Most said the healing was immediate.

A month later, only eight still had vertigo. When I pressed them, all eight admitted they simply stopped doing the exercises.

Were talking about helping billions of people.

So within a few days, I had 20 vertigo patients signed up to work with me.

Unfortunately, I quickly found that the snoring exercises needed quite a bit of tweaking before they would help most peoples vertigo.

However, the first question I needed to answer was

Treatment For Constipation And Nausea

If you have constipation and nausea, identifying the underlying problem can help you determine the right treatment.

If you have irritable bowel syndrome, recognizing foods that trigger your symptoms may improve both constipation and nausea.

IBS triggers differ from person to person. Too much fiber may trigger symptoms in some people, whereas other people may develop symptoms after consuming chocolate, caffeine, alcohol, carbonated drinks, fried food, or after eating large meals.

If youre lactose intolerant, removing dairy from your diet may stop nausea and constipation. Use dairy substitutes instead. These include almond or cashew milk, cashew ice cream, or dairy-free cheeses, yogurt, and sour cream.

If youre pregnant, keep a food diary to determine which foods trigger nausea, and then avoid these foods.

You can also ask your doctor about over-the-counter and prescription medications to improve morning sickness. These can include vitamin B-6, doxylamine, antiemetic drugs that prevent vomiting.

How In The World Could Snoring Exercises Treat Vertigo

Stress Management Therapy: Best Techniques To Reduce Stress

It is actually quite simple.

You see, traditionally, vertigo is caused by three major factors:

  • Pressure on the inner ear .
  • Lack of blood flow to the brain. Low blood pressure is often blamed for this. But bad blood circulation is a more common cause. This is what often leads to stroke.
  • Miscommunication between the balance system in the ears and eyes. The ears tell you to move in a certain way, and the eyes in another way. Thats why people sometimes fall down when they close their eyes
  • The snoring exercises loosen up and strengthen the muscles around the head.

    This does three things:

  • It increases blood flow to the head. Most people think the heart is the only source of blood circulation. But all muscles act as mini-pumps that help the heart. The muscles in the neck are especially important to get blood flowing up to the brain.
  • It triggers the lymph system to remove toxins and extra fluids from the head area. It also fights infection in this area. Almost everyone, for example, has stiff jaws. When you begin to loosen up your jaw, it triggers the lymph system around the inner ear .

This is the only reliable way to remove fluid and fight inflammation in the inner ear.

  • and when that happens, you wont experience the vertigo and dizziness symptoms anymore!

Things That Happen Inside Your Body When Youre Constipated

Not being able to go to the bathroom is frustrating enough, but unfortunately, constipation comes with more than just an inability to go number two. There are a handful of things that can happen inside your body when you’re constipated, and they can range from plain old discomfort to more serious issues such as muscle tears or dehydration. Constipation can affect your whole body, so if you’re frequently backed up, you might experience a number of other symptoms that you didn’t even realize were connected to your difficulty passing bowel movements.

“Constipation can affect the way other parts of your body function and feel,”Dr. Carolyn Newberry, a gastroenterologist and physician nutrition specialist at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center tells Bustle. “For example, when the body is unable to move stool easily through the digestive tract, food, gas, and acid can build up in the stomach and small intestines leading to unpleasant bloating, nausea, and heartburn symptoms. Besides problems in the digestive tract itself, stool that is stuck in the colon can compress outside structures such as the bladder.”

Everyone experiences constipation in different ways, but it can have a greater impact on how you feel than you might think. Here are eight things that happen inside your body when you’re constipated, according to experts.

Dizziness: what are the main causes?

As fate would have it, Wendys best friend knew me personally.

And since Im well-known in the natural health field, she asked me to sit down with Wendy.

I didnt have much knowledge of vertigo and dizziness at the time, so I didnt think anything would come from our meeting.

It was a favor to a friend.

But when I saw how much Wendy was suffering, I almost cried.

    Treating Constipation And Headaches

Treatment for constipation and headaches will depend on the cause of these symptoms. If theyre related to IBS, a high-fiber diet with proper amounts of daily fluids may help. If you have celiac disease, you must eliminate all gluten from your diet for symptom relief. Anxiety and other mood disorders may be treated with psychotherapy and medication. Pain medication, therapy, and gentle exercise may help relieve headaches and constipation caused by fibromyalgia.

How Should You Sleep When Constipated

Place a firm pillow between your knees and hug one to support your spine. While you sleep on your left side at night, gravity can help take waste on a trip through the ascending colon, then into the transverse colon, and finally dump it into the descending colon encouraging a trip to the bathroom in the morning.

    What Causes Constipation

Normally, the colon absorbs excessive water from food during digestion. When food moves too slowly, the colon absorbs too much water, resulting in hard, dry stool and constipation.

In young children, constipation can result from being afraid or unwilling to use the restroom or delaying a bowel movement when the urge is felt, which can also occur in adults. Other conditions that affect digestion and cause constipation include dehydration, malignancy , and inflammation.

Constipation can also result from conditions that occur in other body systems, such as pregnancy and certain types of spinal cord injury. In some cases, an underlying condition, such as bowel obstruction, is life threatening.

    How To Treat Nausea

Are You Experiencing the Side Effects of GABA?

If your nausea is brought on by constipation, you should try to treat the constipation itself first. According to Hastin taking a laxative or a stool softener may help ease your nausea.

You can also take over-the-counter treatments like Pepto Bismol or Gaviscon.

If you don’t have immediate access to over-the-counter medication here are a couple of tips to get temporary relief from nausea, no matter what the cause may be:

    • Place a heating pad against your stomach. This can help relax the stomach muscles and ease your nausea.
    • Sit up straight to avoid crunching your stomach, especially after eating.
    • Apply a cool compress to the back of your neck.
    • Drink some ginger tea. Many studies show that ginger is an effective and inexpensive treatment for nausea.

“However, if you have persistent nausea, that’s occurring over the course of a week or a month, then you should see a doctor,” advises Curtin.

Whats The Connection Between Nausea And Constipation

When your colon isnt working properly, it throws your entire gastrointestinal tract off-balance. As a result, a buildup of stools in your intestinal tract creates a feeling of uneasiness or queasiness in your stomach.

Your bowel plays a role in your bodys detoxification process. When it takes longer than normal for food to move through your colon, this causes a buildup of toxins in your body. Its these toxins that cause the sensation of nausea.

Also, constipation can lead to stomach distention and bloating, which occurs the longer stools remain in your colon. This triggers an increase of bacteria in you colon, prompting a nauseous feeling.

Depending on the severity of constipation, you may also experience loss of appetite and begin skipping meals. Some people become nauseous when their stomach is empty.

    Alternative Treatments For Constipation

Some people benefit from additional strategies to relieve constipation, including:

    • Bowel training: This involves developing a habit of moving your bowels at the same time each day. Eating a meal stimulates your colon to move. That is why you should not skip meals when you are constipated. It also provides a good tool to use to train your bowels. Try training your bowels to move within 1545 minutes after breakfast or dinner.
    • Biofeedback therapy: This retrains the muscles that control bowel movements. You work with a biofeedback therapist to identify these muscles and learn how to relax them to ease stool passage.

Can Amitiza Be Used For Males

Amitiza is approved for treating three types of constipation in adults. For two of these types, it can be used in males. These types are chronic idiopathic constipation and constipation caused by opioid medication in people with chronic pain thats not caused by active cancer.

However, the third type of constipation that Amitiza is approved to treat cant be used in males. This type is irritable bowel syndrome with constipation .

The reason for this difference is that there hasnt been enough research done on Amitiza use in males with IBS-C. In clinical studies, only 8 percent of the people with IBS-C who were studied were male. Because the male population in the studies was so low, theres not enough evidence to determine whether men with IBS-C respond differently to Amitiza than women do.

How To Counteract Prednisone Side Effects

    Compromised immune system

Turns out, prednisones greatest asset is also itsgreatest weakness. The very action that makes prednisone so effective itsability to mute the immune system and relieve symptoms can also lead to an increasedrisk of illness and infection, since your bodys defenses are low.

What you can do: Practice healthylifestyle habits, including getting enough sleep and eating healthfully. Treatyourself well, Dr. Ford says. Anything you can do to stay healthy is going tobenefit you and reduce some of the problems associated with prednisone.

    Fluid retention

Fluid retention is one of prednisones most famousside effects. Moon face is common, which is swelling in the face that canoccur after youve been on steroids for a long time, Dr. Ford notes. You can alsoget swelling in the legs and midsection.

What you can do: Prednisone alters how the body processes salt, so staying on alow-salt diet can help to some degree, he says. And exercise can help keepexcess weight off.

    Hyperactivity

While prednisone is not a stimulant, it can make youfeel more alert or jittery. It doesnt really interrupt sleep, but somepatients find it keeps them awake when they dont want to be, Dr. Ford says.

What you can do: If its possible, werecommend you take your whole dose in the morning, he recommends. Then hopefully, that sense of extra alertness will dissipate by bedtime.

Prednisone may cause gastrointestinal symptoms when youtake it on an empty stomach.

    Tips For Controlling Triggers

There are some things you can do when you begin experiencing the signs of syncope. Try crossing your legs and tightening your hand, arm, and leg muscles. You can also slowly lower your head toward the floor to help stabilize your blood pressure.

If stress is a trigger, keep yourself as calm as possible. Although stress episodes can be scary, you can use calming self-talk and mind-over-body practices to help get yourself through a stressful period and avoid panic. Remind yourself, too, that your symptoms will pass.

You can also find reassurance in the fact that your healthcare provider has checked you and ruled out any more serious causes of your symptoms.
