How Long Does Mebeverine Take To Work

Mebeverine starts to work after one hour. You should feel better one to three hours after taking this treatment.

Ideally, you should take your Mebeverine tablet around 20 minutes before your main meals per day. This is because IBS sufferers normally find that their symptoms are strongest after they have eaten. Swallow the tablet or capsule whole with a drink of water do not chew the tablet.

Mebeverine Vs Buscopan: What Are The Side Effects Of Each Treatment

With all medicines, there is always a risk that you may encounter side effects. Regardless of whether you are using Mebeverine or Buscopan , there is a small chance that side effects may occur.

As a result, it is not recommended that you take Buscopan at the same time as Mebeverine. Colofac MR 200mg are slow release capsules which are taken twice daily in the morning and evening, providing a more constant treatment. Swallow one capsule whole with a glass of water. Do not chew as this destroys the slow release mechanism.
